Chris Brown Sentenced to 1,000 hours of Community Service

Today a judge sentenced Chris Brown to a whopping 1,000 hours of community labor and also reinstated the probation stemming from his horrific assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
The district attorneys went to great lengths to argue that the singer lied about completing his prior community service and submitted bogus records. Apparently their arguments were persuasive because 1,000 additional hours is is quite a lot!
Think about it!! Chris could pick up highway trash or scrub off graffiti in parks for well over a month straight, and he still wouldn't hit his mark!! Yikes!
If there's one silver lining, it's that his hit-and-run case was recently dismissed, but we somehow doubt he'll be celebrating that small victory tonight!
Every action has a consequence, though, and the judge in the probation violation case apparently doesn't appreciate Breezy breezing right on through his court-ordered sentence!
Witnesses say Chris was mostly silent during today's hearing. We guess he had a lot to think about.
Whether he likes it or not, Chris is about to start giving back to the community!h

Untold Love Story Between Bianca Ojukwu and Femi Fani Kayode

Not many are aware that former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-kayode and former beauty queen, Mrs Bianca Onoh were heading for the altar in the late 80’s, but the wheels of their love life was clogged by an unexpected event.

Bianca Odinaka Olivia Onoh, the sixth child of Late Chief Christian Chukwuma Onoh, the second republic governor of the of the old Anambra state, had met Femi Fani-kayode while she was studying for her A- levels in Cambridge Tutorial College. The latter was also attending the University of Cambridge for his Master’s Degree programme in law.

Sources revealed that the beauty was already a queen before they met. Bianca had won the MISS MARTINI, a beauty pageant organized by the beverage company known as Martini Rossi, while schooling at Yorkshire in England. Then, Femi, whose father was the second Queen’s Counsel{Senior Advocate of Nigeria} that Nigeria produced, was finishing his Master’s programme, while Bianca was settling down for her combined honours degree in Politics, Economics and Law at the University of Buckingham.

The two later found each other in Nigeria. While Femi had finished the youth service programme, Bianca had also transferred to the University of Nigeria, Nzukka, where her father had compelled her to study law. Late Chief C.C Onoh, a lawyer and expert in land matters had genuinely and strongly guided his children into reading law.

Later, as the current Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain was done with her programme and out of the university, the former aide to ex-President Obasanjo was getting set to join his father’s law chamber. Around this time, another lady, Miss Saratu Attah had equally found a place in Femi’s heart. She soon got pregnant for him. The pregnancy of Saratu Attah, whose father, Alhaji Adamu Attah, was the second republic governor of Kwara State, reportedly set the relationship between Femi and Bianca on the edge of ruins.

Sometime in 1997, at the wedding anniversary of Ide Ahaba, Chief Sonny Odogwu in Asaba, Delta State, Bianca, who was already married and equally expecting her first child then, had told a frontline celebrity journal, when she was asked about his botched marriage plans with Femi Fani-kayode that “it [the marriage] was not meant to be… I met FFK in London and we both dreamt of having a beautiful home, but things didn’t work our way. I know that he’s married now,” she said.

The marriage plans collapsed because Femi had impregnated Saratu, who later gave birth to Folake, the first child of Femi Fani-kayode, who now holds a Master’s degree in law. Bianca went on with her law programme and later joined her father in his chambers.

However, our source did not provide further on the level of intimacy between Bianca and FFK. We were told that such is left for the duo of Bianca and Fani Kayode to disclose.

The African champions battled to a scoreless first half after  series of missed opportunities from both sides. After early raids of the South African vital area, the Eagles midfield showed signs of weariness and their hosts took over, initiating series of attacks. But the Eagles defence refused to yield. Although the hosts could not get a goal, they ended the first half on a high

‘Fisayo Soyombo: Femi Fani-Kayode: Nigeria – Not Yorubas, not Igbos!

I always knew trouble was brewing. From 2nd August 2013 when the media published Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi’s letter to President Goodluck Jonathan threatening “reciprocity or reprisal” ostensibly against south-westerners in Imo because Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola “deported and dumped” 72 — the Lagos Government claims they were only 14 — Lagos-based Anambra indigenes at Iweka Bridge, Onitsha “in the thick of the night,” it was stark clear the stage had been set for a trifling inter-ethnic media war.
Ever since, arguments for and against the propriety of the action of both governors have been flying all about in the media. Ah, Nigerians can so write — and talk! First, I have to shun the temptation to sink my journalistic teeth into the meat of this rumpus from the middle. This is how it began.
In April, the Lagos State Government retrieved and rehabilitated 14 street idlers who identified themselves as citizens of Anambra. After exchanging communication with the Anambra Liaison Office, it decided (in July) to “integrate” the 14 into their original state of origin. I like to assume, on behalf of Governor Obi, that the liasion office failed in its duties to notify him. And pronto, Obi penned a letter to Jonathan, inflated the figure of returned citizens from 14 to 72, changed the official designation (as used by both Lagos State and Anambra Liasison office) from “integration” to “deportation” and fed his bellicosely worded letter to the media. I have mulled over Obi’s actions and they are nothing to be proud of — for two reasons.
I was in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State sometime last year at a time the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) was in town on an official engagement. Although prominent figures in rival political parties, host governor, Godswill Akpabio and Fashola (both lawyers) bantered on a number of matters, including those relating to other governors. At the inspection of one of Akpabio’s infrastructural projects, I was close enough to grip snippets of their conversation. And I left with one impression: notwithstanding the quarrelsome ACN-PDP media relationship, governors from both parties (and others) are a clique of friends who genuinely maintain a healthy level of personal friendship. Now, on Obi’s ‘deportation’ grouse, I am wondering how the media — rather than Fashola — suddenly became the friend he turned to. As Fashola himself confirmed, Obi had called him on phone to discuss less important matters — in the past.

Barclays U21s: Fulham hit back to beat Man City

Cauley Woodrow scores twice to give Fulham victory in their opening match of the season

Manchester City 1-2 Fulham

Two goals from Cauley Woodrow gave Fulham victory in their opening Barclays Under-21 Premier League contest at Hyde FC.
City, watched by first-team manager Manuel Pellegrini, made the early running with Albert Rusnak, Marcos Lopes and Jordy Hiwula having chances while Seko Fofana hit a post. City took the lead on 31 minutes when Hiwula slotted past Neil Etheridge in the Fulham goal after a driving run from Fofana.
Woodrow, who captained Fulham to victory in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League last season, pulled a goal back on the hour with a low strike before adding the second 13 minutes later with a header into the top corner.
"We're pleased with the win, it's always good to open the season with three points," Fulham Under-21 manager Kit Symons told the club's website. "We didn't play particularly well in the first-half, and probably gave City too much respect at times. They created a few chances and went in front.
"I had a chat with the boys at the break, and talked two or three things through with them. Again, they showed great character to turn it around and in the second-half they played much better. There was a lot more urgency and energy to their play and in the end, for me, we were worthy winners."
